Snow Family Part II: The Secret Garden

There's a sort of magic made when you bring out the dainties of the tea table, the overflowing blossoms in their jugs, and the tea cups in their various delicate forms.  Stephanie has a knack for finding the little things that make every day special--and she has a dedication to making them a part of her family's life.  You can see it in the eyes of these boys: their mom and dad have given them an association with the wondrous, the simple, the meaningful moments of life.

Jenny joined the party too!  Check out her pictures at

Jenny was invited to the tea party as well!  Check out her pictures at: http://jenniferjlewis.blogspot.com/2012/07/encore.html .

The Snow Family Part I: Leaves of Grass

These family pictures have me waxing poetic.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
Dawn goes down today.
Nothing gold can stay.
               ---Robert Frost

Thank you Snow family for sharing this golden-green moment of childhood.  You truly brought the personality of your family to the field!  These green days for your family are so fleeting---just look at those boys grow!---but now there's one golden twilight that will never go down.

I'm going to miss taking pictures with Jenny so very, very much!  See her pictures here: http://jenniferjlewis.blogspot.com/2012/06/field-of-dreams.html .

Milestones and Monuments

Peter and Gigi Rey have a lot of personal history in DC---individually, as a couple, and now as a family of three!  They have marked a lot of milestones on the National Mall, even their first date.  So now that it is time for them to move away they wanted their final family pictures at the monuments that have marked their lives as individuals, and that commemorate the values and freedoms they serve.

When I took newborn pictures of baby Jonathan, we captured some precious moments with him and his mama.  Now Gigi wanted to be sure that we got a few pictures of the men in her life.

Playing Together

Jenny and Justin Lewis excel at an unusual number of things.  Much of this can be attributed to natural ability, and even more can be attributed to hard work.  But when it comes to their family and friends--and especially their little boys--I particularly enjoy their talent for having fun.  This family really knows how to play together.
